Method of Delivery
Format: Online with convenient etextbook (reading, quizzes, and final exam online.)
The course design is dictated by the California Bureau of Real Estate and requires you to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter in each chapter before progressing to the next. As a result,
- 1. Online chapter quizzes are mandatory.
- 2. You must advance through chapter quizzes in a linear fashion. You cannot advance to the next chapter quiz before you complete the previous chapter reading assignment and quiz.
- 3. You cannot access the course final examination until all chapter quizzes have been completed and the minimum completion time has elapsed.
The CalBRE requires a MINIMUM COMPLETION TIME of 2.5 weeks (18 calendar days) from the date you enroll and ACCESS THE COURSE MATERIAL. The MAXIMUM TIME allowed for completion of any course is one (1) year from the date of enrollment.
You can complete one (1) course in a minimum of 2.5 weeks from the date you enroll and ACCESS THE COURSE MATERIAL.
You can complete two (2) courses in a minimum of 5 weeks from the date you enroll and access the course material.
You can complete three (3) courses in a minimum of 7.5 weeks from the date you enroll and access the course material.
Final Examination and Passing the Course
To pass each course, you will be required to take and pass an online open book final examination comprised of 100 multiple choice questions. You are allowed 1.5 minutes per question consecutively or 2.5 hours to finish each final examination. A passing score of 60% is required to pass each course.
What Happens If I Fail?
If you fail a final examination, you are allowed to take a second final exam. The second final exam will be comprised of different questions than the original final exam. If you fail the second final exam, you must complete the chapter quizzes again and pass the final exam to receive credit for the course.
Course completion includes completing each chapter quiz and passing the final examination. The final examination must be taken and passed no later than the last day of the course enrollment one (1) year period.
Course Completion Certificate
If you are enrolled in more than one (1) course, we will email your course completion certificate at the conclusion of your last course. Your completion certificate will show all courses completed.
Identification for Course Login and Final Exam
You must enter a current driver's license number, as an acceptable means of identification by the CalBRE, prior to accessing any online reading material, chapter quizzes, or final examination. By entering your driver's license number, you are affirming UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY, that you are the student registered for this course and that you PERSONALLY will complete the final examination. Any violation of this requirement will result in revocation of the completion certificate for this course and will be reported to the CalBRE.
If you decide to cancel your enrollment, for any reason, we will issue a full refund if cancellation occurs by midnight (PST) of the 8th calendar day after your date of enrollment. No refund will be issued after the 8th calendar day. You must notify us of cancellation by email to the following email address within the required time frame: email@example.com. Qualified refunds will be processed within 45 days of the Notice of Cancellation.

Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending
Mortgage Loan Brokering is designed to provide students with broad technical knowledge of State and Federal laws, which govern mortgage loan brokerage and lending in the State of California. This course is offered entirely online.
Real Estate Appraisal
Real Estate Appraisal is a basic study of residential appraisal in California, which delineates specific factors, methods, techniques, and standards of valuation. It details construction techniques, styles of architecture, functional floor plans, site evaluation, capitalization theory, and appraisal techniques in clear, non-technical language for the beginning appraisal student. Special purpose appraisals are explained, and examples of appraisal reports are included.
Real Estate Economics
Real Estate Economics is about money and its effect on real estate values. The approach is both direct and practical, combining principles from general economics and residential real estate practices in order to study changes in real estate activity. The main focus is to help real estate professionals become aware of emerging trends and their probable impact on local real estate values.
Real Estate Finance
Real Estate Finance is designed to explore the alternatives in financing through the use of a combination of theories and current practices related to real estate. The loan process is discussed in practical terms from application to closing, including explanations of default and foreclosure. The latest information has been included on FHA, DVA, and Cal-Vet loans. Details on the National Housing Acts, Regulation Z, and other important laws, as they impact the financial market have been provided. This course is offered entirely online.

The Real Estate Practice course is designed as a practical guide to basic, everyday activities of the real estate broker and sales associate from setting up the office, electing and training agents, obtaining and advertising listings, through closing the transactions. Covering all aspects of the field, it is an ideal working course for the real estate professional.
